2015 Finale Tournament

This year we're going to try to really increase the amount of games on the roster. However, the same principle will apply - the goal is to get the best average score possible across all the games played. However we know not everyone has every game, so sign up for the events you want/can  play, and arrangements will be made accordingly. An event schedule will be made shortly when I confirm how much we'll have for each game. LM2, along with games that don't get 8 people, and maybe Sm4sh 3DS to start, will just become side events. MKW / MK8 may have extra players too for people just wanting to play for fun.


Time: First event will start at 4:00 EST time on December 18th.

In your post, if you can play at a few specific times, but not be on all day/night, let me know when you plan to be gone. This way I can try to rearrange the schedule to benefit you. You may be paired with someone else if you aren't playing all the games.

EXTRA RANKING NOTES: If you tie for a spot in any game, your ranking will become the number in between. For example, if you tie for 4th with the person in 5th, you will get a score of 4.5 for the game. In the event of a tie for any spot at the end of all 5 events, the winner will be determined by ONE RACE ON 200CC BABY PARK, FRANTIC MODE. Good luck everyone!

update: teams are being worked out. Lee / Blade's game lists are completely opposite of each other so they'll be a confirmed team. At this point, I can not completely guarantee a spot for every event, but I will allow some extra spots on Sm4sh and MK8 to fill in. It may be possible that your partner split up for MK8, or Smash, but keep the same results for the other 3 events. Since Smash 4 is going to be a swiss, we can allow more than 8 people for that event.

Continue to post what you can play, though you may not be fit in to one of the events you want to do at this point.

Actual events will start at 6PM EST, though MKW / Dark Moon pre events will start at 4 I guess.

Unfortunately I just got word that Bastien won't be able to make it, however Marv will be able to play some stuff and he fills in quite nicely what Kyle can't do

- Nicola may play all events, we'll see about Showdown. If he did he could be his entire team
- FF (Showdown, MK7, Splat) / San (MK8) -- Splitting up for Sm4sh, may alternate during Splat
- KD (MK7, Sm4sh) / Hunter (Splat, Showdown) -- Splitting up for MK8

Ito is prob gonna play also, not sure about Luke

We need to squeeze in Luke somewhere if we do, maybe I'd let him play some splat for me if he wants to, and let him do MK8 separate at the end.

Ito / Mence seems like a likely combo, with Mence doing MK7 and Ito doing the rest, so I'll ask him.

If your team has one of those, that means you will share a score for the other games but you will get a different score than your partner for those games. Essentially, you want them to do well, but you still want to beat your partner in the games you split for.

Note that we need to get Mence to confirm, and if he can't we'll have to grab some person willing to play a round of MK7.

Hopefully we won't need any subs, I believe I planned everything so everyone can make the events they want, so thank you to the people who reached out and decided to play in an event they didn't necessarily want to do. Let's just hope people don't get life owned so we don't have to grab subs.

ADDITIONALLY, we will be hosting some kind of MKW froom or something at 4pm EST. Maybe a war if only like 4 people, we'll see. There will also be a Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon Froom at 5pm EST. Prep for everything will start at 5:40pm EST.

If you can't make it now, let me know immediately. Note that MK8 will be finishing very very late in Europe, so just be ready for it I guess and sorry, we just don't really have many other times to do this I think. I'm gone this weekend, Zap will lose Wii U net when going back home for holiday, Diogo is now just getting his back and the 18th is like the only day he and Zap can play on together, and there's an Italian meetup at the end of the year also that Nicola will be at. Additionally it's still a hard time on the west coast people, so I think this is the best we can do.

Also - please don't tilt or rage. It's just for fun. Seriously. It'll ruin the tournament if you do. (maybe this is why we put MK8 last )
